Hello friends and family!
We hope this note finds you well. Andrew and I ushered in 2011 with enthusiasm and made a commitment to what’s known as The Big Climb around here. It’s just hitting me this week that it’s coming up next month! The Big Climb is an annual stair climb up the Columbia Center, the tallest skyscraper in downtown Seattle. On March 20th we, along with a team of friends who have been practicing together, will be running up 69 flights of stairs.
While the challenge of training has been good physical exercise for us, the primary reason we are doing this is to invite others to participate in a cause worth climbing for. The proceeds will go to the Leukemia & Lymphoma society, an organization dedicated to funding research for blood cancers and providing patient services for those suffering from them. All money raised through our efforts will go into performing cancer research and a large portion goes into patient care, support and education as cancer patients fight their battles.
It’d be terrific if you could consider supporting us and visit Andrew’s Big Climb Page and/or Jenny’s Big Climb Page. Some of you may work for companies who will match your tax-deductible contributions so that would be a great way to make even a small donation stretch further in the fight against cancer. Any amount will be appreciated! Please let us know if you have any questions.
We also welcome any training or day-of tips. 🙂 Thanks for considering!
Best,
Andrew & Jenny
